Pastor Read preaches on Acts 1:4-5. What is the baptism of the Holy Spirit? And why do we need it? Is it another baptism? Well, no! The Bible says there is “One Lord, one faith and one baptism.” (Ephesians 4:5) So, the baptism of the Holy Spirit must be connected to our original baptism into Jesus, the baptism by water. We receive the Holy Spirit when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Then why the need for more, what Jesus said is, “The promise of the Father.” And that they, His disciples should “Wait for it.”
